Navigate the Interface

Once you are logged in to Digital Showroom, you land on the product gallery of your current portfolio. This article introduces the main areas of the interface so you can find your way around quickly.

Dashboard Overview

After login, the main view displays the product gallery for your active portfolio. This is your home base for browsing and exploring products. The interface is organized into several key areas described below.

 

The navigation bar is the horizontal bar at the top of the screen. It stays visible as you navigate through Digital Showroom and contains the following elements:

  • Logo: Your organization's logo (or the default Digital Showroom logo) is displayed on the left side. Click on it to return to the product gallery.
  • Portfolio selector: Displays the name of your current portfolio. Click on it to switch between portfolios (see below).
  • Search bar: A search field in the center of the navigation bar where you can type keywords to find products.
  • Locale selector: Lets you change the catalog locale, which controls the language used for product data (labels, descriptions, and other translatable attributes).
  • Currency selector: Lets you change the currency used to display product prices.
  • User menu: Located at the top right corner, the user menu gives you access to your exports, admin mode (for administrators), and the option to sign out.

 

Category Bar

Below the navigation bar, the category bar displays the top-level categories from your portfolio's category tree. This bar allows you to quickly navigate products by category.

  • Click on a top-level category to expand it and see its subcategories in a dropdown panel.
  • Click on a subcategory to filter the product gallery to show only products in that category.
Note: The categories available in the category bar are determined by the portfolio configuration set by your administrator.

Portfolio Selector

If you have access to multiple portfolios, the portfolio selector in the navigation bar lets you switch between them.

  1. Click on the portfolio name in the navigation bar.
  2. A dropdown displays your current portfolio and other available portfolios.
  3. Click on a portfolio name to switch to it.

The product gallery updates to show the products from the selected portfolio.

 

Note: If you only have access to one portfolio, the portfolio selector still displays the portfolio name but there will be no other portfolios to switch to.

User Menu

The user menu is located in the top right corner of the navigation bar. Click on your avatar to access the following options:

  • Switch to Admin mode / Switch to User mode (administrators only): Toggle between the administration area and the product browsing interface.
  • My exports: Go to the exports page to view and download your generated PDF exports.
  • Sign out: Sign out of Digital Showroom.

Locale Selector

The locale selector lets you change the language used for product data such as labels, descriptions, and other translatable attributes. This does not change the interface language — it changes the catalog locale used to display product information from your Akeneo PIM.

  1. Click on the locale selector in the navigation bar.
  2. Choose the desired locale from the available options.

The product gallery and product details update to display data in the selected locale.

 

Tip: The available locales depend on the channel configured for your portfolio. If you do not see the locale you need, contact your administrator.

Currency Selector

The currency selector lets you change which currency is displayed for product prices.

  1. Click on the currency selector in the navigation bar.
  2. Choose the desired currency from the available options.

Product prices throughout the gallery and product details update to reflect the selected currency.
