The product gallery is the heart of Digital Showroom. It displays all the products available in your current portfolio and gives you multiple ways to explore, sort, and navigate them. This article explains how to browse and navigate the product catalog in Digital Showroom.
Product gallery overview
When you open a portfolio in Digital Showroom, the product gallery displays all available products. A product count appears at the top of the gallery (for example, "42 products"), and a set of controls in the same area lets you customize how products are displayed.

View modes
The Digital Showroom product gallery offers two view modes. Use the view toggle in the top-right controls area to switch between them:
- Grid: Products are displayed as cards in a responsive grid. Each card shows the product image, label, and selected attributes.
- List: Products are displayed in a table format with columns for the product image, label, and additional attribute columns configured by your administrator.
Sort order
In the Digital Showroom product gallery, you can sort products using the sort dropdown in the controls area (labeled By on desktop). The available sort options depend on the attributes your administrator has configured as sorting attributes for the portfolio. A Relevance option is also available when performing a search.
To sort products:
- Click the By dropdown in the controls area.
- Select the attribute and direction (Ascending or Descending) you want to sort by.
The product gallery updates immediately to reflect the new sort order.
Density
In Digital Showroom, you can adjust the spacing between product cards. Click the density dropdown in the controls area and choose from:
- Compact: Smaller cards with tighter spacing, showing more products at once.
- Normal: Balanced card size and spacing (default).
- Spacious: Larger cards with more breathing room.
On mobile, the density setting is available inside the Views dropdown above the product gallery.
Grouping by model
In Digital Showroom, products that belong to product models (products with variants) can be displayed either individually or grouped by their model. Use the grouping toggle in the controls area to switch between:
- Ungrouped: Each product variant is displayed as its own card.
- Grouped: Each card represents a product model. Click on a model card to browse its variants.
When grouped by model, the product count at the top shows the number of models rather than individual variants.
Product cards
Each product card in the Digital Showroom grid view displays:
- Product image: The main product image as configured in your Akeneo PIM.
- Product label: The primary product name, based on the label attribute configured for the portfolio.
- Grid attributes: Additional product attributes selected by your administrator to appear on the card (for example, price, color, or reference).
If a product has variants, a variant count badge appears on the card.

Category navigation
The category bar below the navigation bar in Digital Showroom lets you browse products by category. Categories are organized in a hierarchy that mirrors the category tree configured for your portfolio.
- Click on a top-level category in the category bar.
- A dropdown panel opens, showing the subcategories.
- Click on a subcategory to filter the product gallery to that category.
When you navigate into a category, breadcrumbs appear above the product gallery showing your current position in the category hierarchy. Click All products in the breadcrumbs to return to the full, unfiltered product gallery.
The categories available in the category bar are determined by the navigation tree configured by your administrator for each portfolio.
Open a product
Click on any product card in the Digital Showroom gallery to open the product details page. From there, you can view all product attributes, variants, media assets, and associated products. See View product details for a full walkthrough.
Load more products
The Digital Showroom product gallery loads products in batches. When more products are available, a Load More Products button appears at the bottom of the gallery. Click it to load the next batch of products.
The products in your portfolio are synchronized from your Akeneo PIM. Your administrator controls which products are visible by configuring the product selection for each portfolio. If you do not see a product you expect, contact your administrator.
Select products for export
In Digital Showroom, you can select products from the gallery to include in a PDF export. Each product card displays a checkbox that appears on hover (or tap on mobile).
- Click a product card's checkbox to select or deselect that product.
- Use the Select all button above the gallery to select all currently loaded products at once.
- Use the Clear selection button to deselect all selected products.
A selection banner at the bottom of the screen shows the number of products currently selected. You can select up to 100 products per export. Once you have made your selection, click Export selection in the banner to proceed.
