Browse Products
The product gallery is the heart of Digital Showroom. It displays all the products available in your current portfolio and gives you multiple ways to explore them. This article explains how to browse and navigate the product catalog.
Product Gallery
When you open a portfolio, the product gallery displays all available products. The gallery shows a count of total products at the top and provides controls to customize how products are displayed.
View Modes
Digital Showroom offers two view modes for the product gallery. Use the toggle in the top right corner to switch between them:
- Grid view: Products are displayed as cards in a responsive grid. Each card shows the product image, label, and selected attributes.
- List view: Products are displayed in a table format with columns for the product image, label, and additional attribute columns configured by your administrator.
Density Settings
You can adjust the spacing between product cards to fit your preference. Click on the density dropdown in the top right corner and choose from:
- Compact: Smaller cards with tighter spacing, showing more products at once.
- Normal: Balanced card size and spacing (default).
- Spacious: Larger cards with more breathing room.
Product Cards
Each product card in the grid view displays:
- Product image: The main product image as configured in your Akeneo PIM.
- Product label: The primary product name, based on the label attribute configured for the portfolio.
- Grid attributes: Additional product attributes selected by your administrator to appear on the card (for example, price, color, or reference).
Category Navigation
The category bar below the navigation bar lets you browse products by category. Categories are organized in a hierarchy that mirrors the category tree in your Akeneo PIM.
- Click on a top-level category in the category bar.
- A dropdown panel opens, showing the subcategories.
- Click on a subcategory to filter the product gallery to that category.
Breadcrumbs
When you navigate into a category, breadcrumbs appear above the product gallery showing your current position in the category hierarchy. You can click on any breadcrumb item to navigate back to a higher level.
Open a Product
Click on any product card in the gallery to open the product details page. From there, you can view all product attributes, variants, associated products, and assets.
Loading More Products
The product gallery displays products in batches. When you reach the bottom of the currently loaded products, click the Load More Products button to load additional products.
Grouped by Models View
Products can also be displayed grouped by product models. In this view, each card represents a product model rather than an individual variant.
- Click on a product model card to open it and browse its submodels or variants.
- You can navigate back to the model list using the breadcrumbs at the top of the page.
