Portfolio Settings & Attribute Selection

Summary

The Portfolio Settings and Attribute Selection tabs in Digital Showroom control which products appear in a portfolio and which data points are exposed to end users. Use these settings to define the product pool, restrict access by user group, and determine which attributes are visible for navigation and display.

Portfolio settings

The Portfolio Settings tab in Digital Showroom is where you define a portfolio's basic identity, access control, and product pool.

  1. Go to Admin > Portfolios and click on the portfolio you want to configure.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Portfolio Settings.

The following fields are available:

  • Portfolio Name — Enter a unique name to identify your portfolio. The system checks availability in real-time.
  • Channel — Select a PIM channel to determine which locales and currencies are available for this portfolio.
  • Locales & Currencies — Select the specific languages and pricing data you want end users to see.
  • User Groups — Assign which user groups have permission to access this portfolio.
  • Product Filters — Add up to 10 attribute-based rules to define the total pool of products included in the portfolio.

Configure product filters

Product filters in Digital Showroom let you define which products from your Akeneo PIM catalog are included in a portfolio. Filters are applied at the portfolio level and use AND logic — a product must match all active filter rules to appear. You can add up to 10 filter rules per portfolio.

Steps

  1. Go to Admin > Portfolios and click on the portfolio you want to configure.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Portfolio Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Filters section.
  4. Click Add filter to add a new filter rule.
  5. For each filter rule, configure:

    • Attribute — Select the attribute you want to filter on. Attributes are grouped by their attribute group for easy browsing. You can search for an attribute by name.
    • Operator — Select the comparison operator. Available operators depend on the attribute type.
    • Value — Enter or select the filter value.
    • To remove a filter rule, click the X button on the right side of the rule.
    • Click Save to apply your changes.

The counter next to the Filters section title shows how many rules you have used out of the 10 allowed.

Product filters use AND logic — a product must match all filter rules to be included in the portfolio. For example, a "Color = Blue" filter combined with a "Price > 50" filter includes only products that are both blue and priced above 50.

Supported filter attribute types and operators

Different attribute types support different comparison operators in Digital Showroom product filters:

Attribute type Available operators
Text EMPTY, NOT EMPTY
Number <, >, EMPTY, NOT EMPTY
Boolean =, !=
Date =, !=, <, >, EMPTY, NOT EMPTY
Simple select / Multi select IN, NOT IN, EMPTY, NOT EMPTY
Price <, >, BETWEEN, NOT BETWEEN, EMPTY, NOT EMPTY
Metric <, >, BETWEEN, NOT BETWEEN, EMPTY, NOT EMPTY
Reference entity / Reference entity collection IN, NOT IN, EMPTY, NOT EMPTY
Family IN, NOT IN
Categories IN

For price filters, you must also specify the currency. If no currencies are configured on the portfolio's channel, price attributes are grayed out in the attribute selector.

Attribute selection

The Attribute Selection tab in Digital Showroom determines which Akeneo PIM attributes are visible on the product details page and available for use in other portfolio configuration tabs. Attributes must be enabled here before they can be used as Navigation Filters, Product Grid Columns, or Featured Attributes.

Steps

  1. Go to Admin > Portfolios and click on the portfolio you want to configure.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Attribute Selection.
  3. Enable or disable attributes using the toggle controls:

    • Enable an entire attribute group — Use the toggle next to the attribute group label to enable all attributes in that group at once.
    • Disable an entire attribute group — Use the same toggle to disable all attributes in the group.
    • Enable individual attributes — Use the toggle at the end of each attribute row. When you enable or disable individual attributes within a group, the group-level toggle turns yellow to indicate a mixed state.

Once you enable an attribute in the Attribute Selection tab, it becomes available as a Navigation Filter, Product Grid Column, and Featured Attribute across the portfolio configuration.
