Unified Authentication

Summary

Getting Started with Unified Authentication

Akeneo is introducing a single login experience across all Akeneo products. Instead of managing separate credentials for each product, you will use one account, identified by your email address, to access every Akeneo application you are entitled to.

What is changing

Previously, each Akeneo product (PIM, SDM, etc.) maintained its own user database with separate usernames and passwords. With unified authentication, all products share a single identity layer powered by Auth0.

What this means for you:

  • One email address and one password to access all your Akeneo products
  • A single login page regardless of which product you are accessing
  • Your existing product credentials remain valid during the transition

Your first login

The first time you log in through the new unified login page, your existing product credentials are used to verify your identity and create your unified account.

Steps:

  1. Go to your product URL. You will be redirected to the Akeneo unified login page.
  2. Enter your current email and click Continue.
  3. Enter your current password and click Login. For the first connection, use your current login details and we'll guide you through the new authentication process.
  4. Check your inbox and click the verification link in the email from Akeneo.
  5. Once verified, your unified account is active. Future logins use your email address and the password you set.

Logging in after your account is set up

Once your unified account is active:

  1. Go to your product URL.
  2. Enter your email address and click Continue.
  3. Enter your password and click Login.

Account convergence

If you previously logged in, the system will guide you through a one-time account linking process.

How it works:

  1. On first login, you are prompted to enter your email address.
  2. If that email is already associated with another Akeneo account, a verification email is sent to confirm ownership.
  3. After you verify your email, your accounts are automatically merged. Your product permissions are preserved.
  4. All subsequent logins use your email address.

Note: If you receive an unexpected verification email from Akeneo, it means an account linking request was initiated. If you did not request this, contact your administrator.

Accessing multiple products

Your unified account grants access to every Akeneo product your organization has provisioned for you. You do not need to log in separately for each product. If you do not see a product you expect to have access to, contact your Akeneo administrator to verify your permissions.

Frequently asked questions

Will my existing password still work?
Yes. During the transition, your current product credentials are used to authenticate you on first login. After your unified account is created, you manage a single password for all products.

What if I forget my password?
On the login page, click Forgot your password? and follow the instructions. A reset link will be sent to your verified email address.

Can I change my email address?
Contact your Akeneo administrator. Email address changes require identity re-verification to maintain account security.

I did not receive a verification email. What should I do?
Check your spam or junk folder. If the email is not there, return to the login page and restart the process, or contact your administrator.

My login is failing and I see an error. What should I do?
Ensure you are using your current product credentials on first login. If the issue persists, contact your Akeneo administrator or reach out to Akeneo Support.
