Agentic Ziggy: your AI agent in the Akeneo PIM
Agentic Ziggy is where you collaborate with Ziggy and her team of AI agents to manage your Akeneo PIM catalog through natural language. You can ask questions, explore your data, and execute changes — all with full visibility and control over every action.
Ziggy operates through a team of specialized agents:
- Orchestrator: understands your intent and routes requests to the right specialist
- Planner: builds a clear action plan for your approval before any change is made
- Executor: carries out approved plans step by step
- Domain experts: specialists that each own a specific area of your PIM
Nothing changes without your sign-off.
Access Agentic Ziggy
Access Agentic Ziggy from the Activity Navigation menu on the left side of the PIM.

The Dashboard is your team's central hub. It has three areas:
Chatbar
Start a new interaction with Ziggy here. After submitting, you are redirected to Agentic Ziggy. Assist messages become Conversations; messages that require Ziggy to act become Tasks. Conversations are private, but tasks can be seen by Admins.

Team Agenda Overview
A snapshot of all active tasks across your project team, grouped by status (New, In Progress, Ziggy in Progress, Done, Blocked). Click any status to go to the full Team Agenda page.

Ziggy Recommends
AI-generated actionables, refreshed every 24 hours, organized into four categories:
Data Model Hygiene, Enrichment, Data Model Enhancement, and Governance. Click to engage with a recommendation and start a conversation with Ziggy about it.

Agentic Ziggy
This is where you work individually with Ziggy through two types of interactions: Conversations and Tasks.
In both, you can see the catalog context Ziggy is referencing at any time.
If you do not have data model change permissions, Agentic Ziggy runs in read-only mode and the Tasks section is not visible.

Conversations
A conversation is a private interaction with Ziggy suited for:
- Questions and exploration
- Understanding your catalog structure or configurations
- Getting instructions on how to perform actions in the PIM
- Read-only analysis of your data
If you ask Ziggy to make a change that requires acting during a conversation, it proposes a plan and creates a Task to execute it.

Tasks
A task is a governed, trackable unit of work that contains at least one write action. It gives you and your team full visibility and control over what Ziggy is doing in your PIM.
How tasks are created
Tasks are created in two ways:
- From a conversation: when Ziggy proposes at least one write action, it automatically creates a task containing the proposed plan. The conversation remains active and you can continue to interact with Ziggy within it.

From Ziggy Recommends: when you click Add to workspace on an actionable from the Dashboard.
What a task contains
- A human-friendly summary of the intent and context
- A plan with individual steps to execute
- A progress tracker showing completed and remaining steps
Task management
- Filter tasks by Status and Owner
- Tasks can be archived
Task Statuses
Statuses update automatically based on the plan and progress:

| New | The task has at least one step that has not been started yet |
| In Progress | The task has at least two steps and at least the first is complete |
| Ziggy in Progress | Ziggy has triggered a background job (such as a product export or rule execution) that is running in the process tracker |
| Done | All steps in the plan are complete |
| Blocked | A background job was triggered but failed in the process tracker |

Agents act in accordance with each individual user's existing PIM permissions.
Governance
All collaboration with Ziggy follows five principles:
- Traceability: All write actions are recorded in the process tracker as change sets
- Auditability: Change sets are logged per individual user and marked as being done with Ziggy's support
- Reversibility: AI Enrichment changes can be reverted in change sets; non-reversible actions are always flagged to you
- Explainability: Every Ziggy response includes a short "Why this helps" explanation so you can make confident, informed decisions
- Contractibility: When a proposed change could impact the data model or PIM integrations, Ziggy warns you before proceeding
Data model changes are applied in disabled mode if potentially impactful, or enabled mode if safe. To activate an impactful change, you must manually enable it.
Products enriched via Ziggy go through an AI Enrichment Workflow where data is previewed for your approval before any product is saved.
