Match History Module - Efficiently Manage Product Updates

Summary

What is it?

The Match History module helps you manage products that have or have not already been processed in SDM. It ensures that existing products aren't unnecessarily processed again, streamlining your workflow.

How does it work?

Automatically

Depending on your SDM configuration, the Match History step can help you automatically skip or keep existing or new products based on specificities from your product file (attributes, attribute values…)

Examples

  • Work only on new products sent by your suppliers. The module will identify that this SKU has already been processed from this supplier, then the module will skip the products categorizing them under the "Originally Skipped Rows" filter.
  • Skip products from being imported in PIM if one of their attribute option labels contains a specific word. The match history will help you identify those.

Manual review

Toggle products in or out of the workflow using a red/green switch which will place them inside the filters "Forced Kept Rows" or “Forced Skipped Rows”.

At the beginning of the next step, only the kept products will be displayed.

Retrieve skipped products

Any deleted products can be recovered in a specific output format, at the end of the step. Ask the support team for this configuration setting.

Why use the Match History module?

It saves you time by ensuring that products already processed or present in your PIM aren't duplicated in SDM. You can focus only on new products, making your enrichment and integration process faster and more efficient.
