Integrate performance shopping signals directly into Akeneo PIM workflows, enabling smarter prioritization, better product updates and proactive quality improvements.
These use cases demonstrate how product data can be used to optimize both advertising campaigns and organic visibility on Google Shopping. They focus on:
- Ad Eligibility: Ensuring ads meet all requirements for approval and maximizing their effectiveness.
- Ad Campaign Optimization: Prioritizing product optimization efforts on products included in active campaigns.
- Product Performance Analysis: Identifying high and low-performing products based on click-through rates and conversion rates, and using this data to make improvements and replicate successes.
- Inventory Management: Prioritizing optimization for in-stock products and potentially triggering restock orders for high-performing out-of-stock items.
- Pricing Strategy: Informing pricing adjustments and explaining performance issues related to price.

Streamline the product optimization process thanks to Workflows
Addressing functional product issues efficiently requires seamless team collaboration. The PIM facilitates this by integrating PX insights with its powerful Workflows feature. This combination enables you to share valuable product feedback with the right teams (e-commerce, Marketing, Acquisition) directly within the PIM.
What's new with PX Insights?
For convenience, adding products to a workflow can be done either from the Product Grid for managing multiple products at once, or directly within the Product Edit Form for focused attention on a specific product.
In the Product Grid, you can use the Bulk action Add to workflow.
In the Product Edit Form directly, you can add a single product (or the variant belonging to a product model) to a workflow by choosing the target workflow.

Make sure you have the required permissions to Add Product To Workflow otherwise you will not see these buttons.
Check this article to know more about the Workflows capabilities.
One product can only be assigned once to a completed workflow.
PX Insights data are not yet available in the Workflows Product Selection directly.
Automate actions with the Rules
Streamline your product management process by implementing a rules engine that automates actions based on Google Shopping signals. This automation can save time and resources by automatically triggering actions.
What's new with PX Insights?
For the product selection, you can now use these 4 new data points as criteria:
-
Ad eligibility: Indicates if syndicated product meets Google’s policies and can be shown to all customers in a Google Shopping Ads Campaign (valid for both organic traffic and paid campaign). Values can be:
-
Approved
if the product has no issue. -
Non-optimized
if the product has at least one issue limiting its performance but not impacting its eligibility. -
Disapproved
if the product has at least one issue preventing the product eligibility.
-
-
Ad campaign: Indicates if a product is included in a paid Google Ad campaign or not. Values can be:
-
Active:
A product is designated as active when at least one sponsored advertising campaign is currently running. -
Inactive
if the product has no active ad campaigns, relying solely on organic traffic.
-
- CTR (Click-Through-Rate): Shows the percentage of people who click on your ad or listing after seeing it. It's calculated by dividing clicks by impressions (e.g., 5 clicks ÷ 100 impressions = 5%). A high CTR indicates that users find your ads relevant and engaging. The average is based on the previous 7 days and the number is aggregated across locales, channels & countries if applicable.
-
Inventory: Indicates if a product is still in-stock or not.
Values can be:
-
“In-stock”
if the product is in stock in at least one country or channel (if applicable). -
“Out-of-stock”
if the product if out-of-stock everywhere.
