What is the AI Readiness Checker?
The AI Readiness Checker is your on-demand diagnostic tool. Think of it as the "Check Engine Light" for your digital shelf.
It analyzes your live product pages against a 60-point checklist of strict requirements from Google, Schema.org, and Generative AI models. It answers the critical question: “Can an AI find, understand, and recommend this product?”
How to Run an Audit
You can check the health of any product in seconds.
- Navigate: Go to Activity > PX Insights Dashboard.

To provide the AI Readiness Score, Akeneo utilizes a trusted third-party service to access and retrieve publicly available structured data (Schema.org) from the Product URLs provided by the User. This process is strictly limited to "read-only" access of publicly indexed metadata and does not involve the collection of personally identifiable information (PII) or modifications to the User's domain. By using this feature, the User acknowledges and consents to the temporary processing of these public URLs by our designated sub-processor for the sole purpose of product data analysis.
Users must only audit URLs belonging to their own company. Unauthorized scraping of third-party or competitor domains is prohibited.

Understanding Your Dashboard
Your report shows two distinct scores. It is normal for these numbers to be different because they measure different goals.
1. SEO Score (Traditional Search)
- What it measures: Your visibility on standard search engines like Google.
- Key Factors: Meta tags, page titles, mobile responsiveness, and basic product information.
- Goal: Winning the "Click" on a search results page.
2. AI Score (Generative AI)
- What it measures: Your "referability" by AI assistants (like ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews).
- Key Factors: This is a tougher test. It prioritizes "Trust Signals" such as Global Identifiers (GTINs), structured Return Policies, and clear Reviews details.
- Goal: Being cited as the “Best Answer.”

Dynamic Variations: As Generative AI is non-deterministic, minor score fluctuations (e.g., 27 vs 28) are normal. These do not impact the reliability of the core assessment.
The key Pillars of Readiness
The report breaks down your score into key pillars to help you find the root cause of a low score.
Interpreting Status Tags
Review the list of attributes under each pillar to find specific issues. Look for these status tags:
- STRONG: Data is structured perfectly. No action needed.
- ALMOST THERE: Basic data is present, but minor optimizations are possible.
- PARTIAL: Some data exists, but key details are incomplete.
- CRITICAL GAPS: Foundational data (like a Barcode or Return Policy) is missing or broken. This significantly harms visibility.
- MISSING: The attribute is not detected at all.
Example Scenario
- Area: Identifiers
- Status: CRITICAL GAPS
- Notes & Recommendations: “The product is intended for emergency responders, but this is not explicitly defined in the schema...”
- The Fix: You need to populate the specific attribute (e.g., GTIN) in your PIM.
