Akeneo Activation is a syndication app that pushes product data from your Akeneo PIM to retailers and marketplaces. Before you can use it, a PIM administrator must connect the app to the PIM. This article walks you through that initial connection.

Before you start

• The Akeneo Activation App must be activated by your Akeneo representative.
• Your PIM user account must have the Manage/Open App permission enabled. Go to Settings > Roles in the PIM and confirm this permission is assigned to your role.

Connect Akeneo Activation to your PIM for the first time

This step is performed once by a PIM administrator. After the initial connection, you access Activation through Connect > Connected Apps.

1. In the PIM, go to Connect > App Store.

2. Find the Akeneo Activation App and click Connect.

1. A permissions modal appears. Review the app's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, then confirm to grant the required authentication permissions.

1. The PIM and its configuration are now connected to Akeneo Activation. You are returned to the Connected Apps screen under Connect in the PIM navigation.

1. Click Open App to launch Akeneo Activation. You are taken to the channel list page in Activation, where you can start connecting to retailer and marketplace channels.

Access Akeneo Activation after the initial setup

Once the app is connected, you do not need to go through the App Store again. To open Activation at any time:

1. In the PIM, go to Connect > Connected Apps.
2. Find Akeneo Activation App and click Open.
