View enriched category attributes in the category tree
When your Category trees have an active Template, Akeneo PIM can display the enriched Attribute values for each Category directly in the category tree grid. This gives you a quick overview of your Category enrichment: descriptions, SEO content, labels, and boolean flags, without having to open each Category individually.
For example, a merchandising team managing a clothing catalog can instantly see which Categories already have a description and an SEO title filled in, and which ones still need enrichment, all from a single grid view.
This feature is available on Advanced and Premium packages.
Prerequisites
- At least one Category tree must have an active Template with enrichable Attributes.
Access the category tree grid
- Go to Settings > Categories.
- Select a Category tree that has an active Template.
When the feature is enabled and the Template contains supported Attributes, additional columns appear to the right of the Categories column. Each column corresponds to one Attribute defined in the Category Template.

Understand the grid columns
The Categories column is fixed and shows each Category label with the tree hierarchy visible through indentation. To its right, one column appears for each Attribute in the Category Template that has a supported type. If there are many Attribute columns, a horizontal scrollbar lets you navigate across them.
Supported Attribute types
Only the following Attribute types are displayed as grid columns: Text, Text Area, Yes/no, and Datetime. Attributes of other types defined in the Template are not shown in the grid.
For Text and Text Area Attributes, values that exceed the column width are truncated with an ellipsis. Hover over a truncated cell to see the full value in a tooltip.
Select Locale and Channel for localizable or scopable Attributes
When the Template contains localizable or scopable Attributes, Locale and Channel selectors appear above the tree. These selectors control which values are displayed in the Attribute columns. Your selection is remembered between sessions for each Category tree.
- Channel selector: visible when at least one Attribute in the Template is scopable.
- Locale selector: visible when at least one Attribute in the Template is localizable. The available Locales depend on the selected Channel.
Enrich Category Attributes
The values displayed in the grid come from the Enriched Categories feature. To add or update Attribute values for a Category, open the Category form by clicking on it in the tree.
