Define which Attributes external contributors can view or edit for one Contributor Organization. Attribute access is scoped per organization, so organizations using the same Contributor Portal can have different selections and permission levels.
This feature is in early access. Reach out to your Akeneo contact if you're interested in trying it out.
Before you start
- Your role must include the Manage contributor organization permissions permission.
- Create the Contributor Organization before configuring its Attribute access.
- Identify the Attributes and Attribute Groups contributors need for their work.
Add Attributes for a Contributor Organization
To build a Contributor Organization's Attribute selection in Akeneo PIM:
- Go to System > External access > Contributor Organizations.
- Open the Contributor Organization.
- Open the Attribute selection tab.
- Click Add by group to add the Attributes from one or more Attribute Groups, or click Add attributes to select individual Attributes.
- Set each Attribute to View or Edit.
- Click Save.
View lets contributors see the Attribute value. Edit lets contributors see and change the Attribute value. An Attribute that is not part of the selection is invisible to contributors in that organization.
If the Attribute selection is empty, contributors see an empty product edit form.
Manage Attribute Group access
Use the action menu beside an Attribute Group to apply one action to all editable Attributes in that group:
- Set all to View
- Set all to Edit
- Remove all attributes
Use Copy from existing to replace the current selection with the Attribute selection from another Contributor Organization.
Understand read-only Attributes
The main identifier and read-only Attributes can only use View access. Variant axes and Attributes that can trigger a Dependency are identified with badges in the Attribute selection.
The Attribute selection groups Attributes by Attribute Group and provides View, Edit, removal, copy, and group-level actions.
