Before you start
You need permission to manage AI Configurations. Web-based attribute enrichment may also need to be enabled for your environment; if you do not see it as an option, contact Akeneo.
Create the configuration
- Go to Settings > AI Configurations.
- Click Create a new configuration.
- Choose Web Enrichment.
Configure the fields
On the configuration edit page, set the following:
| Field | What it does |
| Target Attribute | The Attribute you want to fill, for example description, brand, or weight. |
| Source Attributes and properties | The product information the AI should use as context, such as the product name or brand. |
| Instruction prompt | How you want to guide the web-based attribute enrichment. A sensible default is already used, and you can view it using the Preview sidebar |
| Model | Which AI model to use. By default this is the standard model. |
| Blocked websites | Websites the AI must never use as a source for this configuration. |
Set blocked websites (optional)
Add any websites the AI must not use as a source for this configuration, for example amazon.com. Blocked websites are specific to each configuration, so you can apply different policies to different use cases, for example blocking competitor sites for a marketing configuration but allowing them for a technical-specifications configuration.
Blocking a website also blocks its subdomains and subpages. For example, blocking amazon.com also blocks www.amazon.com, m.amazon.com, and shop.amazon.com. It does not block a different domain such as amazon.co.uk. You can add up to 50 websites per configuration.
Choose a model (optional)
By default, the configuration uses the standard model. If your plan lets you choose your own model and provide your own key, the model list shows the models that support web search. Models that do not support web search are not available for Web-based attribute enrichment.
What happens next
Once saved, the configuration can be used in two ways: a user can run it on a single product with Ask AI, or an administrator can use it in a Rule or a Workflow to enrich products in bulk. See the related how-to articles for each path.
