Automate Date Management with Dynamic Date Setting in Rule Engine

We are excited to announce a powerful enhancement to our Rule Engine: the ability to set dates dynamically based on certain conditions. Previously, only fixed dates (e.g., 06/03/2024) were supported, limiting the automation of date enrichment. Now, you can:

• Set the date to today: For instance, to track the last publication date, which will update automatically when the publication status is set to ‘published’.
• Set the date to today +/- N days, weeks, months, or years: For example, define the expiry date of a certificate issued today to be today + 1 year.

Additionally, you can now use dates within table attributes as conditions to trigger rules, enhancing the flexibility of your automation.

Streamlined UX for Attribute Codes & Product Models

We’ve also been working on some UX improvements to make working with attribute codes and product models even easier.

Here’s what’s new:

• Enhanced Variant Selection Panel: We’ve improved how variants are displayed in product models. Now, the main identifier for each variant is clearly shown within the panel, and the panel size automatically adjusts to the length of the text, making it much easier to read—especially for product models with many variant axes.

• Attribute Codes Everywhere: Attribute codes are now displayed in almost all relevant places within the PIM, including attribute settings, attribute selection for families, the rule engine, and the identifier generator. This is particularly helpful when working with attributes that share the same label.

We hope these changes make our clients’ product information management experience smoother and more efficient!

Enhanced Job Scheduling Frequency

We’ve been improving the frequency of job executions to meet your needs better. Here’s what’s new:

• Schedule a Job Every 2 Hours: You can now schedule the execution of any import or export profile with a frequency of up to every 2 hours (previously, the minimum was every 4 hours). This allows for more timely updates and faster data processing.
• Prevent Concurrent Execution of the Same Job: To ensure smooth operations, we've added a check to prevent an automated job from starting if its previous execution has not finished, in case a job has been running for more than 2 hours. This prevents overlap and potential conflicts.

We believe these improvements will bring more flexibility to our customers and help achieve a faster time to market.
