A Shared Responsibility Model

What Akeneo handles (The Infrastructure):

• Provisioning: We create your Upsun organization, set up your project, and provide your admin accounts.
• The Runtime Environment: We ensure the platform is running smoothly, managing the application runtime, routing, TLS/SSL certificates, and scaling primitives.
• Unified Billing: We consolidate your usage directly into your Akeneo billing for total transparency (usage and cost data are available in your customer portal).

What you handle (Your Code):

• Application Code: You have total control over everything you deploy—its behavior, dependencies, and business logic.
• Ongoing Maintenance: You and your integration partners are in charge of testing, debugging, and keeping your code and dependencies up to date over time.
• Code Security: While the underlying platform is secure by design, you are responsible for applying best practices to ensure no vulnerabilities are introduced in your specific deployments.
