Markets pricing
This section provides information on managing markets pricing using the Akeneo App for Shopify.
What is markets pricing?
Markets pricing enables you to synchronize your international prices with your Shopify stores.
You can synchronize market pricing on up to 50 markets.
Clearing price values
Compare-at price
- An empty value in the PIM clears the compare-at price in Shopify.
- A value of
0in the PIM is saved as0.00in Shopify. It does not clear the compare-at price. - If no PIM attribute is mapped to the compare-at price, the app never modifies the compare-at price in Shopify.
Price
For regular price fields, the app does not support setting the price to null. An empty value in the PIM does not clear an existing price in Shopify, and setting the value to either 0 or null in the PIM will therefore not result in a null price in Shopify.

Prerequisites
Before using the market pricing feature, make sure to fulfill the following prerequisites:
- Integration of Shopify Market: You must add the Shopify market to your store. The market can be either active or inactive. Refer to Shopify's dedicated documentation on market management here.

Specific catalog for Shopify Markets: Each Shopify market must be linked to a dedicated catalog.
If no catalog is assigned, Shopify will automatically use the default “All products” catalog. The app does not support this default catalog and will block the price mapping for that market to avoid conflicts during synchronization. You can refer to this tutorial to assign a specific catalog to your Shopify store. - Mapping PIM Price Attribute: Ensure that a PIM price attribute is mapped to the Price field for synchronizing market pricing.
- Activation of Shopify Market Currency: Ensure that the Shopify market currency is activated on the configured PIM channel.
Add a new market pricing
Follow these steps to map a new market:
- In your Akeneo App for Shopify, navigate to the Configuration page.
- In the Store configuration section, click on Edit markets pricing.
- In the Shopify market column, select the market for which you want to synchronize your international prices.
The Shopify currency column displays the currency of the selected market. This currency must be activated on the configured PIM channel. -
(optional) If the PIM attributes mapped for the Price or Compare-at-price fields are localizable, you must select a specific locale from which pricing values will be retrieved.
In the PIM locale column, select the PIM locale from which you want to synchronize your pricing values. - Save your selection.
Please note that the main currency must be mapped and saved for the Edit markets pricing button to be available.
