External contributors use an invitation and the shared Contributor Portal access link to submit product information through Supplier Data Manager (SDM) workflows. Contributor Portal access does not support open self-registration.
This feature is in early access. Reach out to your Akeneo contact if you're interested in trying it out. For the existing Supplier Access flow configured directly in SDM, see What does my supplier see through dedicated access?.
Activate a Contributor Portal account
To activate and access a Contributor Portal:
- Open the invitation email sent when an administrator creates your external user account.
- Follow the invitation link to set up your account.
- Open the shared Contributor Portal access link provided by the administrator.
- Complete authentication on the hosted sign-in page.
The credential-entry page is hosted separately from Akeneo PIM. Contributors do not enter their credentials inside the PIM interface.
Sign in with SSO or MFA
The Contributor Portal login page displays the Single Sign-On (SSO) options configured by the administrator. Select the button for your organization and authenticate with its identity provider.
When your Contributor Organization requires multi-factor authentication (MFA), set up an authenticator app when prompted and enter a one-time code during sign-in.
Access restricted
The Contributor Portal displays Access restricted when the signed-in user is not linked to a Contributor Organization. Contact the administrator named in your invitation process and ask them to add your user to the correct Contributor Organization.
