Multistore Management

This section provides information on managing multiple stores using the Akeneo App for BigCommerce.

What is Multistore Management?

Multistore management enables you to synchronize your PIM catalog with multiple BigCommerce stores. It allows you to customize your configuration (Locale/Channel/Currency/Main category) and attribute mapping for each store.

 

Create a new store

Follow these steps to connect to a new store:

  1. In your Akeneo App for BigCommerce, navigate to the Store list.
  2. Click on Create a new store, which will open a modal window.
  3. In the modal window, provide a store name - you can consult how to find your store hash here. Then, enter a valid store hash.
  4. Save your selection by clicking on Confirm.

 

Please note that once the store hash is linked to your Store, you can no longer change it.

 

 

While there is a strict limit of 100 stores that can be connected to your Akeneo App for BigCommerce, it is essential to consider the impact on performance. We recommend keeping the number of connected stores within a reasonable range and suggest not exceeding 30.

Delete a Store

To delete a store from your Akeneo App, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Store list.
  2. Click on Delete store.
  3. Confirm the deletion by clicking on Delete when prompted.

 

Please exercise caution when deleting a store, as this action cannot be undone.

 

 

How to Change Stores?

There are two ways to switch between stores within the Akeneo App for BigCommerce:

  1. Click on Store list in the header to go back. Alternatively, you can use the back button of your browser.
  2. Use the dropdown list in the header of the app. Selecting a store from the dropdown will automatically redirect you to the Configuration page of the selected store.
